The fairing continues.. I am now using a 24.5" spreader, this is an extreme help for blending large areas. The areas of the most layers of fiberglass overlaps is the best helped by the big spreader. The keel and transom are the areas that have the greatest degree of thickness difference that must be blended.
These areas look and feel fine to the touch but with a straight edge it is amazing how small dips and low spots are revealed. I bought some rough lumber to make the strakes and went over to a friend's house to do the cutting. For these pictures I just set one of the strakes on the hull, I'm not quite ready to epoxy them yet.

I've got more than enough strakes now, they should be just about the right dimensions for the boat.
